My name is Martin. Here’s a bit about me: where I’ve come from, where I’m going, and why.

Early days

I was born in Lithuania. I’ve been obsessed with technology and computers since I was eight years old and I’ve spent most of that time looking at a screen, even when it wasn’t so cool.

I studied Computer Hardware Engineering at Vilnius College and later I attended Vilniaus Gedimino Technical University, completing my studies with a Bachelor’s degree.

No experience? Start a business!

Nobody wanted to hire me when I was 19 because I had no work experience (even if I had my own clients at the time). So I just started my first business with two guys who were happy clients. I created a “newsletter system" for one and drove email traffic to the other’s website. In fact, I drove so much traffic that the website became No. 1 in the cars category of the Lithuanian website catalog.

After two years, I started my career as a freelancer. In 2006, I created the INTERNET IDEAS brand (originally IT-IDEAS) and turned my career from digital product development towards digital marketing. The company is still based in London, UK, and I’ve worked in my own company ever since.

My track record

I’ve created 15 of my own brands (three of them sold) and I’ve helped other businesses create and develop their own brands online. I’ve worked on over 1000 digital projects and online campaigns, created a few personal seminars, and 12 info products. In 2009, I organized the first and largest online webinar (four days) in Lithuania, with 1700 online viewers. I also helped to organize one of the other largest live online classes, with over 5000 school students.

Within five years, I built the leading SEO company in Lithuania and sold it. I was a co-founder of the WEB Academy, where we created the largest video archive in Lithuania (2010) about internet business and marketing, with 32 speakers. From 2012, I was mostly working with digital marketing strategies and paid online advertising campaigns.

Today’s future: digital publishing

The technological landscape never stays the same. That’s what has always excited me. My passion for the last decade has been creating digital educational info products and the whole publishing process.

Why this sector? I come from a family of educators. I’ve always believed that what you know can change your life. But the format of the knowledge is essential to its value. When knowledge is tailored to the student and explained for their needs, it is more powerful. I love to learn, to find better ways to teach, and to help others to share their knowledge in more efficient and effective ways.

Also, the world is changing and this change is creating a demand that only innovative technologies can supply. Consider that there will be an estimated 2.7 billion students worldwide by 2035. We can either build two universities a day over the next 20 years to meet that need . . . or we can think about different, better approaches.

I started early in 2007 with a digital content platform for karate lovers (karatevideo.tv) that sold products to 24 countries. In those days, internet speeds were too slow so we used CDs! Later, I was a co-founder of the WEB Academy in Lithuania – my second adventure in the digital publishing world.

Now here I am again. I have the benefit of experience and a powerful vision about digital education publishing and I want to help as many top-class experts as possible around the world to package their knowledge into digital products and impact learners globally.

Experts want to share their knowledge with the world, but the traditional methods of book and classroom limit the reach of this knowledge. Online courses, groups and one-to-one mentoring offer the expert and the student much more control over quality and individual tailoring of knowledge. This is the reality of modern education now.

But I’m excited about the future possibilities, whether it’s adaptive learning or augmented and virtual reality systems, artificial intelligence-driven smart devices, personalized digital content, droid or hologram-assisted teaching, and even bio-implants of memory experience.

Today, I’m focused on working with top-class experts who want to change the game, inspire and impact millions by sharing their knowledge via high-end, professionally branded online publishing.

Where I am now . . .

The most exciting thing about online business for me is that my location doesn’t matter. I spent 3.5 years living in the UK, I traveled around Europe, and since 2016 I’ve been living in sunny Valencia, Spain. I can definitely say that my business address is the Internet.
